    Annapolis and Anne Arundel County

Welcome to historic Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, a distinct destination that offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking for fabulous feasts, great shopping, historical perspectives, sailing or just a get-away, Annapolis and Anne Arundel County is the place to visit.

Annapolis Maryland's capital, is still quite reminiscent of the booming 18th century seaport. You can still see remnants of colonial life as you stroll the cozy streets and admire the architecture that has stood for more than 200 years.

Known as the sailing capital of America, you are never far from water or boats in Annapolis or anywhere in Anne Arundel County. Catch the spirit and take a guided tour of the City Harbor or sign aboard a sailing schooner to explore some of the Chesapeake. If on the water is where you really want to be, take a day trip to St. Michaels on the Eastern Shore or charter your own boat and explore some of our 418 miles of shoreline.

If you prefer to just view the water, enjoy a walk along the waterfront. Sample our famous crabs, then listen to our music and enjoy our sunsets and seascapes.

Plan to stay a few days in one of our many picturesque Bed & Break-fasts or, for the more seafaring, stay in a Boat & Breakfast and wake to the sound of the Bay. Comfortable and affordable hotels can easily be found throughout the city as well. Sleep in, order room service and take advantage of the hospitality you'll find at any Annapolis and Anne Arundel County accommodation.

    Calvert County Maryland

Calvert County is a special place to live in the fact that the urban sprawl has not taken over yet. The crime rate is low, schools are rated as one of the best in Maryland and the people are very friendly. The county is still rural even though it is the fastest growing county in the state. The county is unique in that it is surrounded by water, the Patuxent River on one side and the Chesapeake Bay on the other. There are many state and local parks which encompass waterfront areas with boardwalks and beaches. The parks also provide a habitat for wildlife in the woods and wetland areas along the water and its tributaries. There are businesses and services in the county, but not an overabundance of commercial growth. New Home construction is on the rise and offers todays buyers affortable housing close to Annapolis Maryland.

    Chesapeake Maryland County Calvert Beach

The Town of Chesapeake Beach offers numerous activities, attractions, and fun things to do. Known since the early 1900s as a resort town, Chesapeake Beach retains its quiet charm as a quaint waterside community on the Chesapeake Bay.

As it was in 1900, Chesapeakepe Beach is still a fun escape from Washington, D.C. Explore our history starting with the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum. Let the kids enjoy themselves at the water park, or charter a fishing trip out in the bay with your friends. If you don't want to "catch your own," come and dine at one of our many fine restaurants.

The neighboring towns of Chesapeake Beach and North Beach grew up together in conjunction with the resort. Both towns supported popular bayside activities and entertainment as well as shops. For many years the fire hall for both communities was located in North Beach while the public school was in Chesapeake Beach. Seasonal and year-round homes were built in both communities, and the population of the area grew.
